Bushfire Fundraising Event for Mallacoota Community – Sat, 11 Jan 2020
Our family have been deeply affected by the devastation of the bush fires, in particular, Mallacoota. We come here each year for a week from Boxing Day and just love it. Everyone in the town makes us feel welcome and for that one week we really feel a part of the Mallacoota community.
Our 9 year old son caught his first fish there two days before the fires hit. We made the snap decision to leave an hour before the road to NSW closed last Monday. Our hearts go out to the people of Mallacoota who stayed to defend their town.
We want to give back to the people who have given us so many happy memories. The tight knit community has set up a go fund me page with a target of $500K. 100% of the proceeds go towards rebuilding the town, helping their wildlife and to the local CFA.
This Saturday, 11 Jan 2020 at Northern Myotherapy, with the blessing of all our therapists, all treatments – remedial massage or myotherapy will be $80, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Mallacoota Fires Support Fund.
Please understand, private health rebates will not be available on Saturday to ensure all monies go to the fund. Both clinics will be open until 6pm so we can raise as much money as possible.
