Nicole is a remedial massage therapist currently completing a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Myotherapy at SSNT. Growing up dancing and playing field hockey, she has always been a avid mover. Nicole has been working as a yoga teacher for a number of years, loves weight-training and is always deepening her understanding of the body through moving in new ways. Having previously lived with persistent chronic pain, Myotherapy was what first gave her relief and drove her to this field. She is a truly passionate practitioner who seeks to get to the source of pain and dysfunction and to support people in feeling confident in their bodies again. She is patient, compassionate and will give time for your concerns to really be heard. A session may include some general massage, targeted trigger point therapy, dry needling, cupping, joint mobilization and some exercises to build mobility, strength, balance and awareness.
Paula has worked as Myotherapist with Chiropractors and Physiotherapists in several clinical settings. Her work with the Myotherapy team at the Essendon Football Club, a variety of Cancer walks, and the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal doing seated treatments for parents shows the breadth and depth of knowledge Paula has attained over the years. Paula has provided ongoing care for pre-and post natal mums, MND clients, cancer patients and concussion/Aquired Brain Injury. Paula’s main passion as a therapist is to work with her clients to ascertain the cause of the pain and dysfunction and to educate as to the Why? She uses many testing techniques on muscle, skeletal and neural responses to determine the best treatment to suit individual client’s needs. She integrates Exercise Prescription and Rehabilitation to provide the client with the knowhow, and together create a self managed program that is practical to use along with ongoing support in the clinic. Paula is a keen Gym Bunny herself and has a love of sport and knows the importance of keeping herself fit and active and enabling her clients to do the same.
